Join the DiabetesSangha at a Connected in Motion Slipstream weekend!

We are so excited to share more about Connected in Motion’s Slipstream weekends with the DiabetesSangha community. If you’re an adult living with type 1 diabetes, this is your chance to come together for a weekend of community, connection, and continued education. And we’ll be there, too! Each Slipstream includes a series of presentations, workshops, and small group breakouts as well as a variety of activities such as canoeing, climbing and art. Think of it like diabetes camp for adults! The DiabetesSangha is looking forward to bringing meditation to these special weekends and hope you’ll consider joining us in Ontario, Alberta, Maine, Colorado or Georgia.

Mindfulness Workshops + Meditation Sessions Throughout the Weekend

Upcoming Slipstream Weekends:

Living with type 1 diabetes can be a challenging and isolating experience. It can be difficult for others to truly understand the daily struggles and complexities of managing this condition. That's why spending time with others who are also living with type 1 diabetes can be incredibly valuable.

By connecting with others who share your experiences, you can feel less alone and more understood. You can learn from each other's successes and challenges, share tips and tricks for managing blood sugar levels, and support each other through the ups and downs of life with diabetes.

Attending an adult diabetes camp or other event specifically designed for adults with type 1 diabetes can be a great way to connect with others who "get it" and form lasting friendships. It's a chance to step away from the stresses of everyday life and focus on your own health and wellbeing, surrounded by a supportive and understanding community.

Connected in Motion (CIM) is a Canadian charity that provides support to individuals living with Type 1 diabetes through outdoor adventure and community building. CIM offers a range of programs and events that combine physical activity, education, and peer support to help participants manage their diabetes and enhance their overall well-being. These activities include backcountry trips, camp-like weekend retreats, and educational sessions both in-person and online. Overall, CIM seeks to empower and inspire adults with Type 1 diabetes to live active, adventurous, and fulfilling lives.
