New York City DiabetesSangha Meetup -October 30th 5-9 pm.
We’re excited to announce our upcoming Diabetes Sangha Meetup in New York City, coinciding with the opening of an inspiring new exhibit by Robert Ferguson — a fellow community member and abstract artist living with Type 1 diabetes.
Join us at the gallery anytime between 5:00–7:00 PM for drinks, light conversation, and a chance to meet Robert as he shares how he transforms materials from his diabetes devices into stunning works of art. Afterward, we’ll head to a casual neighborhood restaurant for dinner and more community connection.
Location: Artifact Projects 155 Suffolk Street. New York, NY 10002
Date: Wednesday, October 30
Contact: Peter Friedfeld – peter@diabetessangha (or DM in whatsapp)
Details are still being finalized, but you can click here to register and receive updates. Space will be limited, so we encourage early sign-ups for this special evening of art, conversation, and community

Whether you're at the start of a busy day or the middle of an August vacation, this is a space to gently arrive, breathe, and reconnect with stillness. Notice your breath, your body, and the quiet presence of the morning and be present here and now.
Let this time be simple. If your mind wanders, that’s okay. Just come back to the moment, and yourself, with kindness.
Saturday, 11/18 Sam will lead us into a calm, yet deeply invigorating Movement and Meditation session featuring Qigong — a gentle, grounding practice that combines slow, intentional movement with mindful breathing and focused awareness.
Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and philosophy, Qigong is designed to cultivate and balance the body’s vital energy, known as qi.
From reducing stress to enhancing flexibility and focus, Qigong offers powerful physical and mental benefits — all from the comfort of your home.
Join Sam and the T1D Community on a journey toward greater well-being and inner calm. Open for all levels. See you Saturday at 10 am ET/ 7 am PT
